Storywise you don’t need to have played any of the previous games as I said, but gameplay-wise it would help if you have because you would know roughly what to expect here. This is a game that will not hold your hand, it’s tough and it’s classic Myst style. The maps are simply huge and every new location looks even better than the last, forever keeping your imagination wondering what you will see next, which is handy because you will be racking your brain on what to do pretty much from the word go. Starting in Hunrath town you soon start to explore these strange new lands, looking for the answers to what is going on and why you are there. Much like the Myst storyline, you start off realising you have been in some sort of supernatural event that has transported you to lands unknown and strange. Let me tell you, this game is so much like the original Myst series it is scary, but the good news is you don’t have to have played any of the previous games to understand what is going on here because it is a completely separate adventure. But here we are, over ten years since the last Myst game was released and once again we look into the world of Myst, only this time in VR.
